About the Sampler: Mary Garrett stitched her fine sampler at Claverton School in 1854 at age fifteen. It is a remarkable piece of needlework, incorporating five different alphabets all stitched meticulously over two on 72 count linen. She was a fine needlewoman, but what else we can discover of Mary is rather uncertain. Find out what has been  discovered.
